Peter Favot’s paintings are abstract visual images. They are playful reactions to a perceived reality and are his way of seeing the effects of light on a playful, imaginary, perceived world. The joy of simply playing with paint and creating meaningful visual images. Peter's original paintings are mainly acrylic on canvas mounted on wood stretchers, with some collages and mixed media pieces.
He has been painting for some 50 years and has chosen during those years to paint undisturbed and unimpeded by marketing considerations. We believe that the beauty of his artwork should be shared and made available to enhance the ambience and mood of anyone's space - home or office - even yours. Peter has practised Architecture and Urban Planning for the past 60 years and taught for some years in the Department of Architecture at Ryerson University in Toronto. His firm’s projects have varied from Multiple Housing Developments, Industrial Complexes, Shopping Centres, Office Facilities, University and Community Colleges, Housing for Developing Countries, to the Development of Resort Communities and Health Facilities.
