My Markings, a Way of Seeing

Peter Favot’s paintings are abstract visual images. They are playful reactions to a perceived reality and are his way of seeing the effects of light on a playful, imaginary, perceived world. The joy of simply playing with paint and creating meaningful visual images. Peter's original paintings are mainly acrylic on canvas mounted on wood stretchers, with some collages and mixed media pieces.

He has been painting for over 50 years and has chosen during those years to paint undisturbed and unimpeded by marketing considerations. We believe that the beauty of his artwork should be shared and made available to enhance the ambience and mood of anyone's space - home or office - even yours. With Peter's help, we are able to offer a collection of high quality prints - available on double primed cotton canvas and mounted on finely made hardwood frames.

Peter has practised Architecture and Urban Planning in his own firm for the past 60 years and taught for some years in the Department of Architecture and the Department of Urban Planning at Ryerson University in Toronto. His firm’s projects have varied from Multiple Housing Developments, Industrial Complexes, Shopping Centres, Office Facilities, University and Community Colleges, Housing for Developing Countries, to the Development of Resort Communities and Health Facilities.

Artwork

Prints of selected works are available on high quality cotton canvas, mounted on wood stretchers, and finely finished in hand crafted hardwood frames. The frames are made from maple or oak hardwoods and are available in a natural, white or black flat finish. There are currently four print sizes available.
